One of the downsides of having an online bakery as opposed to a storefront one is that we don’t get to meet our customers in person very often. That being said, I like to think our snazzy customer service has let us get to know many of our customers, so there are always familiar names in our order system.
This week we baked 300 whoopie pies for a customer’s wedding up in Massachusetts (instead of a wedding cake, they served mini versions of our whoopie pies!). It was really fun to do this order (we developed two new flavors for the bride and groom: lemon raspberry and key lime), and it was even more special because we got to know the bride over the course of several months as we worked out the details and helped her with some other orders. I’m hoping to get to see some photos of the whoopie pies on the big day, but for now, here’s a photo of them in our bakery!
