This week we baked cookies in support of Plumpy’nut, a peanut butter-based therapeutic food supplement used to save children facing severe malnutrition. The cookies are a raffle prize for this weekend’s Walk for Plumpy’nut at Ithaca College. The Walk for Plumpy’nut is an annual event organized by Food for Thought, a student-founded nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of children around the world. Since 2007, Food for Thought has raised over $16,500 through the Walk for Plumpy’nut.
All walk proceeds benefit Concern Worldwide‘s therapeutic feeding stations in Ethiopia. This year’s Walk for Plumpy’nut is being held today in Ithaca, NY. This is the second year the walk has been held in Ithaca, and they are hoping to break their $20,000 goal. We are glad our cookies can play a small role in reaching that goal!
